A small town, a good place to live

Einar and Shirley moved to Grandy in May 1945 with their son, Shar. Kathryn was born in January 1946. This move was a big change. They had lived in a mobile home since they were married in June 1941.

Their house had been the Grandy Home Hospital from 1932 to 1942. According to recollections of other residents, over 600 children had been born in the house, including their son.
