A small town, a good place to live

This photo does not have a date. It appears to be the early 1900's

You are looking South along the tracks of the Great Northern Railway. The crossing in the foreground goes to "Highway 65" to the West and the potato warehouses to the East. One of the warehouses appears in the left center of the view.

The station master lived in the depot with his family. Living quarters were in the foreground, freight was stored in the area to the background.

This building remained in Grandy until the 1950's when passenger traffic declined and Grandy was no longer a stop.
